The Wheelsure product

Wheelsure’s award-winning range of patented locking devices provides a fail-safe means of securing wheel nuts. Use of the device also enables the fleet operator to manage vehicle maintenance in a more cost-effective manner.

The Wheelsure locking devices:

  • A modified bolt with a reverse thread added. This accommodates both the original nut and the Wheelsure locking nut or stud
  • The reverse thread can be added externally (a) or internally (b) and always consists of a new modified bolt
  • A locking stud or nut is applied using the reverse thread until it tightens against the original nut
  • A serrated steel locking cap then pushes down over both the original nut and the Wheelsure nut or stud, thereby maintaining a secure fixing

 

If the original nut should start to loosen (even microscopically) the locking nut or stud tightens against the original nut on the reverse thread with the locking cover combining both actions, ensuring a fail-safe bolt fixing.

The device comes in two sizes – M22 & M18 – that will fit the majority of wheel hub assemblies;

  • The thread can be modified either externally or internally to suit individual needs and bolt integrity remains at the same level with either option
  • The internal thread is fitted with a locking stud which can be supplied in three alternative sizes dependent on the bolt protrusion available.

The device can be specified as new and/or retro-fitted.
