An example of how the Tracksure locking devices can deliver tangible benefits is illustrated in Holland where M24/33mm hex nuts were installed by ProRail in a marshalling yard braking system in late 2006The purpose of the trial was to see if the Tracksure products could eliminate unintentional bolt loosening and prevent excessive maintenance in this critical application. This was undoubtedly achieved;

“We first installed the Tracksure locking device in our braking system that is operating for handling the cargo trains at the transportation plant in Rotterdam over 12 months ago. Since then we have not had any incidences of bolt loosening and this represents a major benefit to us both practically and economically”.

This allows ProRail and their contractors to now utilise maintenance teams elsewhere on the rail network, which is a real operational and cost benefit.
